Hello Community, we have just had nbn connected and am now trying to setup the Google Home Nest Wifi. I have downloaded the Google Home App, it has found the router and other point, I have selected the router to setup, have enabled locations as requested but it keeps saying ‘having trouble connecting to cloud, please try again later’
any pointers?

You have connected a ethernet cable between the modem and the Nest Wifi router? If you connect that cable to a PC instead of the Nest Wifi router, do you get internet, and what IP address do you get?
General set up guide:
Might be related to WAN settings as well. Ask you ISP what type to use.

I’m having the same problem with my 2nd WiFi device. Xfinity xFi gateway wired to 8 port switch which goes to upstairs and connect to the 1st WiFi device. Set to Bridge mode. Has been working great for several months to extend the WiFi signal to the upstairs. Now I want to do the same for for my back porch. Connected the 2nd WiFi device to the same switch and I go through the setup just as you described, and it says to reset my router and start over. Even after restarting the router both the xFi and the 2nd device I get the same error message “can’t connect to mesh network” restart your router and setup this WiFi port again. Next screen is “Problem connecting to cloud” please try again later.
Please let me know if you find a solution to your problem or if anyone has a suggestion how to fix
