Hey, I’m using two Google Routers and one Wifi point. Today after some usage the wifi dropped and all devices went offline. In the Google home app I can see my network settings, but if I go to Wifi on my iPhone I can only see eg “Google” as an option, and some of my now devices that are now offline.
seems like the router is not working properly and resetting itself or something. I’ve tried factory reset and created my wifi again, it worked for a few hours but then back to my network not being up as it’s nowhere to be found and all devices are offline. Again I can see “Google” and some individual devices in my list of Wifi options on my iPhone.
How can I fix my router or whatever is causing this? As the router seems to be working according to the app, ie speed tests etc are working so there’s internet from the modem.
thank you in advance

Hi DanielSte,
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry that you're having troubles with your Google Nest Router getting disconnected. I understand how frustrating this can be. I'm here to help.
Before I begin, I need to ask a few questions for further assistance:
When did the issue start?
What color is the LED light of the main router?
Do you have any other device connected between your modem and your Google Nest Router?(a switch or any other router) •
Do you have a modem/router combo from your ISP?
Since you mentioned having two Google Routers and one Access Point (AP), I suggest trying the following:
Reposition the routers: Experiment with different locations for both routers to see if it improves the connection.
Swap roles: If you currently have one router as your primary and the other as secondary, try swapping their roles.
Reconfigure the primary router: After swapping roles, reconfigure the router that is now your primary to see if this resolves the issue.
Please keep me posted. I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Kevin

Thanks for the reply.
issue started about a week ago after coming back home and using it for a bit. The main router disconnected and started living its own life, resulting in no network. But light was still white.
It’s just a modem from the provider, if got nothing else connected between.
i tried switching the routers since i have two, worked for a bit and then yesterday same thing happened again and now my network is down. First the old main router stopped working and then the new main router stopped, but this time the new main router started to shine with a yellow light.
Not sure what to do as even after multiple factory reset it continues to behave this way.

Hi DanielSte,
Thank you for your response. Let's work together for a solution.
Based on the information you provided, it's possible you're experiencing interference from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) modem when creating your Google Network.
To troubleshoot this, I recommend checking if your ISP modem is in bridge mode. Sometimes, ISPs release updates that may inadvertently disable bridge mode, which is crucial for optimal Wi-Fi performance with your Google Nest devices.
If bridge mode is disabled, please re-enable it in your modem's settings. Once bridge mode is re-enabled, try rebooting your Google routers and then attempt to create your Google Network again.
If the issue persists after these steps, please provide more details about the specific problems you're encountering.
Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.
Regards,
Kevin

Double checked and it’s in bridge mode, have again had to do a full reset and factory reset on all routers and wifi points. Still facing the same issue, there’s no change. ie after some time of it working one or more of the units stops working and is no longer working on the network created.

Hi DanielSte,
I understand that you're still experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity issues despite the troubleshooting steps we've already tried. Let's explore some additional solutions.
1. Change the Wi-Fi Password:
2. Try a Different DNS Server:
These steps can sometimes resolve connectivity issues by improving network stability and resolving potential DNS conflicts.
Please let me know if these steps help resolve the issue. If not, we can explore further troubleshooting options.

after another full reset yesterday it worked for 6h and then all went down again. I tried your update, that doesn’t change anything when the internet has already gone away.
so the wifi itself disappears, the primary router is still showing white light as if it works, but instead of my wifi name I now see a Google wifi as an option. Seems I can’t add a picture to display.
restarted everything and factory reset once again, changed the name and PW of the wifi as well as updated the DNS. Will wait and see how long it lasts.

Did a full factory reset once again and created a new wifi with new name and password as well as updates the DNS, still it stopped working after just a few hours once again. Wifi point down and for now only the router is available.
