Google Nest Wifi Access Point

So weird question but I was wondering if there was a way to make my google nest wireless access point (no ethernet port) to just be a google assistant and not an access point. Long story short I will be using a google nest router as a wired access point instead of this. But I still want to use it as a google assistant. Any ideas?
