Google Nest not getting an internet connection

I switched my internet service to a new provider and am using the modem and wireless router the ISP provided, modem and router are separate units.  Unfortunately I am not getting good internet service in a couple rooms with the ISP provided wireless router.  Because my Google Nest mesh router provided acceptable service, unplugged the ISP router from the modem and I tried plugging the Google Next mesh router into the ISP provided modem.  I did reboot the modem.  Unfortunately I am not getting an internet connection to my Google Nest router.  Any suggestions on the fix?

Did you reset your Nest Wifi router? You need to do that if you change the external connectivity.

Factory reset your Wifi device - Google Nest Help

Scroll down and select “My device isn’t available in the Google Home app”.

Who is your ISP? Do they support third party routers with their equipment?

Would advise contacting your ISP and ask if you need additional setup to connect a 3rd party router.
It could be the mac address needs to match their system and when the routers change it doesn't match therefore no authentication.
