Hello everyone,
I recently discovered that the spec house I bought came with a wireless express package plan. They will be installing two U6 PROs for me, they will also provide POE switch to power the U6 PROs. The ISP will install ONT so I won't need a modem. I am supposed to get my own router, and I have a Google WiFi sitting around. I plan to subscribe to Cox's gigabit internet option
I've done a lot of research recently on the UniFi system and came to the conclusion that I don't really care of UniFi OS. I don't want to spend another 3-400 bucks on the UDM Pros.
My question is, will the Google WiFi AC-1304 be sufficient as a router? If needed, I am willing to get a MikroTik hEX S Gigabit router or EdgeX and run default settings on it, but I don't think I have the time or effort do any customizations for the router.
For context, my house is 2070 SqFt. Below is a SS of my floor plan and where the U6 Pros will be.

Should work. The UniFi access points won't be able to broadcast the guest network of Google Wifi though, as they'll have to connect to Google Wifi by ethernet. So, Google Wifi primary network only. And you'll have to manage/set up the UniFi APs separatly, not in the Google Home app.

Gotcha, I should still be able to set up separate WiFis while I manage the UniFi APs with a controller right?

Nest Wifi does not do VLAN (virtual separation of networks), so you can't create separate networks for different SSIDs on the UniFi APs. So it kind of defeats the purpose I guess?

I see what you mean. I guess I will have to look for an alternative. At the very least I would like to be able to create separate networks for IoT devices and my main consoles
