Google WiFi connection randomly slows down to a crawl, but wired connection is strong

Have a Google WiFi system with three devices, in an open floorplan 2500 sq ft house. Things have been working fine for over two years. However, in the several days WiFi sped has been slowing down to a crawl. Normally get 200 Mbps on WiFi, and slightly higher with wired. The other day nothing would work on WiFi. When you check internet connection, speed was > 200 Mbps, but the Mesh network with the Google Home app reports that the connections were bad. Run speedtest on my phone, while standing about 2-feet away from the main Google WiFi puck, and would get 300 Kbps!! I reset the network, power cycled the router, etc and things were back to normal (mesh connections very good). Then an hour later, WiFi speeds drop to a crawl. I decide to redo the network. I reset all three pucks to factory conditions, and rotate the three pucks to different positions. So there was now a new puck which was the router. I then rebuilt the router, and things are working again. Thought I fixed it! Nope, a few days later we were getting slow WiFi speeds again (from > 200 Mbps to 300 Kbps). Then an hour later, the full speds are back! No changes at all. Wired speeds normal throughout. I unplug the two other mesh pucks, and this makes no difference when standing right next to the main router. So I really don't think its a hardware problem, so it's either an interference or software / configuration issue. No new devices were added to the house in the last week. I am just about ready to start shopping for another router product, as this has made using WiFi in the house impossible!

Same issues, no support from google. $260 dollar package that my tech people are recommending I replace with a $100 option they have using the same internet that works better.

How does google have such poor customer support? I have everything google in my house but am thinking about selling it all to replace with a product from a company that actually has customer support.

Interesting. Have not gotten any response from Google as well. Very frustrating. Thanks for responding!

Hey, bondisdead.
Sorry for the late response here, but I wanted to check in to see if you were still having this issue and to see if you have done any troubleshooting so far. If you still need help, let me know and I'll be happy to work on this with you.
Thanks.
