Google WiFi re-set up issue? Not able to find new device.

Let me try to explain as clearly as possible: A few years ago, I bought three Google WiFi devices and set up them in my own home, let us call the setup network as MyHomeGoogleWiFi. I have been using the network for years.

A few days ago, during snow storm, my cable line is down due to falling tree. I was trying to connect to my neighbor's WiFi for a few days, but his cable modem is located far from my house and signal is weak. Therefore, I brought my Google WiFi devices to his home and he set up my Google WiFi devices to his cable modem, let us call the setup network as NeighborHomeGoogleWiFi. One of Google WiFi device was put in his kitchen, which is close to my house, and the signal is fine for me.

Now my cable line has been repaired, and I brought back my Google WiFi devices, I am trying to set up again (using google Home app, formerly Google WiFi app), but could not find the device. After showing "Looking for device", then show "What are you setting up", I choose WiFi then Google Wifi, then it goes back to "Looking for device". It just does not go to the step of scanning bottom QR code.

However, when I go to nearby WiFi network, I can still find the network NeighborHomeGoogleWiFi, although right now Google WiFi device is connected to my cable modem, not my neighbor's cable modem. How can NeighborHomeGoogleWiFi still be associated with these devices?

How can I get the ownership back? I did not know how he set up.

Thanks.
