Google Wifi vlan tagging

Hello

im switching isp where i get a 1gps fiber connection. They Will set up a fiberbox and deliver a router.
i already have a complete wifi setup with 4 Google wifi pucks. In the manual, from my new isp i Can leave out the the router, if my google wifi support 802.1Q and i set the internet port to be tagges with VLAN 101.

Does the wifi pucks support this, and how do i set up The tag 101?

The Nest Wifi Pro does not support VLAN tagging however the tag you mention, 101 is used by Openreach in the UK. If your connection is indeed provided via Openreach's network you may get lucky like I did and not have to worry about VLAN tagging.

No, this is i. denmark. I’ll give a try, and as i understand, i dont have to do anything - either it works or not?

Well I'm not sure about Denmark but I do know that in the UK at least, some providers set the vlan in the modem / fibre unit.

If it doesn't work, you could always use your provider's router and put it in bridge mode and connect the Google WiFi to that.

Good luck. 🙂
