Home App's speedtest shows internet speed is 0

I've had the original Google Wifi for years, and it's worked flawlessly. And it's working fine today too. Our TVs are streaming with no problems, and all of our devices are trouble free.

But when I go into the Wifi section of the Home app and run a speed test it shows 0 mbps in each direction. Normally it is ~ 600 mbps in each direction.

The only thing that has changed is that I connected my brand new Pixel 7 pro to our network.

Note: A side effect is that any Play Store downloads now go into pending status. That's true for our phones, TVs and laptops. Downloading in Play Store using 4G works, it's just when I use our network.

I just did a factory reset on our network and reinstalled my three router/wifi points. Nothing has changed.

Hey FordFestival,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your Google Home app.

A few questions: when you do a speed test using a third-party site like https://goo.gle/2QXCbe1, do you get the same result? Also, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your Google Home app? How about using a different smartphone or tablet to do the speed test on the Google Home app?

We'll wait for your update.

Best,
Abi

The Home app was reporting 0, regardless of which device ran the test. But all third party apps I tried were giving normal results.

We were out of town for a few days, and when I left the speed test was still showing 0s. And none of our Android devices were able to install or update apps (everything went into pending status). But when we returned home the network had "healed" itself? Home's speed tests were normal, and Google Play could install apps without a problem.

I have no explanation. Since we were in a different state we didn't do anything to fix it. It's like something had to work its way through the network or something.
