I need to temporarily stop the 5.0 frequency on my google wi-fi mesh network

I use an August smart lock for my front door. It connects via bluetooth to an "August Connect" device that can join my wifi network. It can only connect using the 2.4 frequency. I have used the devices for 4 years with no problem. Recently the "August Connect" device can no longer join the network. I have worked with the August support group deleting, redefining, changing batteries etc. I even purchased a new "august connect" but I am having the same issue. The device only supports 2.4 and I can't get it to stop trying to use 5.0. I need to shut 5.0 off for a few minutes. How do I do that?

That's not possible with Nest Wifi. Have a read on how 2.4ghz and 5ghz works with Nest Wifi here:

I don't work for Google.
