I got the Google Nest Wifi Router with 3 wifi points so I can monitor/control internet usage of my kids. Due to the recent IOS update, there is an option to click “private address” and this will create a new wifi-address and give internet access to the device while still being part of the mesh network. Does this hack have a way to be corrected or has Google yet to discover this problem? It make the Google Nest Wifi Router useless. Thanks in advance.

This is not an easy thing to solve for the router/ network itself. Maybe you can consider other alternatives, like managing devices and accounts?

So basically I got sold Google devices that were advertised to make it easier controlling my kid’s internet usage but I have to now do more research on the above links making this Google Nest Wifi purchase useless. I should not have bought this wifi system in the 1st place. Thanks Google! I demand a refund!

Hi, ter222.
I'm sorry for the frustrating experience you've had with the Nest WiFi setup. I can understand why you are upset here. While the product doesn't fit your use case, I can pass that along to our internal teams as a suggestion for a future feature. Have you tried contacting to support to speak directly with them yet?
