Need guidance about my old good mesh wi-fi

I have an older Google Nest and an ATT router and modem.  Should I disconnect the ATT router?  Also, I recently moved.  How do I change the locations on the mesh to reflect the new rooms?  I'm not technlogically savvy so all input in simple terms is appreciated!

Hi ksg732,

Thanks for posting ― let's get this sorted out.

Your Google Nest Wifi router needs to be directly connected to an Internet source which is your AT&T modem/router. You can change your device's room.

Here's how:

  1. Open your Google Home app.
  2. Tap the device you want to edit.
  3. Tap the Settings icon/ Gear icon on the upper right.
  4. Select 'Room'.
  5. Tap the room name you want to move the device under.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Mel

Hey ksg732,

I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?

Thanks,
Mel
