Over the past several days I have struggled to complete the installation of a Nest WiFi router and a single Nest WiFi Point mesh network purchased from the Google Store on Amazon. Installation of the router went without a hitch but when I tried to add the point I got the message above in the subject about the point being manufactured for "another country". I searched online and went through every reset, restart, etc. suggested to no avail. This morning I tried again resetting the point and this time using an iPad Mini rather than my Pixel 7 phone and it all worked as it should. So this seems like a bug somewhere. It's all working great now but to get it working I had to do things most people would not or would not be in a position to do. I hope this helps someone else with the same issues (looks to be a good number of folks).
Cheers!

I will escalate this thread to the Google Team. Someone should be in contact with you in the coming days.

Hi @SoloWithOthers!
Thanks for posting in the community.
I'm glad to hear that you were able to have your Nest WiFi point working as expected after using a different device during the setup and resetting the point. This will help other customers that are experiencing the same behavior with their devices.
Keep me posted.
Regards,
Daniel.

Google Wifi and Nest Wifi are optimized to work best with specific Wi-Fi standards in compliance with wireless regulations for the country they are sold in. That message means you may have bought a model of Nest Wifi intended to be used in a different country than the one you reside in. This isn't supported by Google and may not comply with regulations in your country,
Even though you may have gotten it to work, which is great, I'd strongly recommend you return them to Amazon and enquire about models that are designed for and compliant for use in your country.

One interesting thing is that message never popped up when I finally tried using the app on the iPad mini. So is the issue with the Nest Point or the inconsistency between the app on the Pixel 7 and the iOS app on the iPad? One way I could get another clue is to browse into the configuration of the point. But, it's working very well at the moment so maybe I will get around to it. If I had to make a call I would suspect an issue with one of the apps. Either way, they are not consistent with one another in at least this aspect.
Here is what I found about how to view the "countrycode" of the point one you get its IP address in the Home App.
