Nest wifi pro wont setup after reset due to poor connection

have a 3 pack and one of the pucks started saying weak connection when its been great for past two weeks. I tried using a wired connection but would still give me weak connection. I tried to factory reset and now it wont add back. I scan the qr code and it goes into setting up mesh network but then loads forever just to fail. Ive tried over 30 times. Have reset my router modem and both my other nest wifi pros and the issue still persist. At this point i have no idea what else i can do

Hey @Momoflies .

A few things here that will help:

  • FIRST (if not already done), contact your ISP and have the modem reprovisioned. When you reset the modem, it was wiped to factory settings. You may be able to get internet access but if the provisioning hasn't bee resent, it will be limited at best. Some also offer this through their sites or Support. If it has been done, you can disregard.
  • If you have a modem/router combo, make sure Wifi and DHCP are disabled after any provisioning is done. If you are not confortable doing it yourself, the ISP's Support should be able to help. Of note, if you tell them about the setup issue they will almost always say it is the new router and try to move you to one of theirs so they can charge you a rental fee.
  • Make sure the router and points are factory reset before trying to set everything back up. This article will help with doing it manually: Factory reset your Wifi device
  • Due to default settings Apple enables in iOS, there is a known issue with setting up devices. This article should get you around them: Troubleshoot setup with iOS

Please let us know if you are able to get the issue resolved or need more assistance.
