Not able to setup Google Wifi without qr and setup code

I don't know how, but my Google Wifi Point ( AC 1304 ) was factory reset. I cannot set it up now without the QR code and setup code printed on the back. 

http://192.168.84.1/api/v1/status This method does not work either. I read that Google updated the firmware and only in the previous firmware was the PSK visible.

Please help me with this. I really need to set this up ASAP. I just need the psk.

Hi I did try the above steps. Its not working for me.

1. After about 5-6 minutes, the device should automatically reboot; LED will pulse blue

I have waited for 40 minutes twice, the device does not restart.

Done. I tried again with different usb sticks. Both usb 2.0 and 3.0. Once i plugin the pendrive, the flashing orange light stops but then nothing happens.
