Phone App (NobelApp) Phone Calls WOn't Connect

Hi, I have an App on my Smart Phone, NobelApp, which uses wifi to make calls. Just installed Google Fiber (discontinued Spectrum Internet) and now that GF is working, the app will not connect using wifi. Last week with Spectrum, I had no problems at all. When Wifi is connected the app dials the number and it rings...and rings, never connects. When I turn off wifi, and use mobile data, the app dials and connects. I also have MagicApp which also use wifi to dial and connect with other phone in the USA, and it works perfectly. I have NobelApp installed on 2 phones and they both display the same issue.

Contacted Nobel.com and they tested and tested, telling me their system was working fine, and my number reports no problems. They suggested the issue is with the newly installed Google Fiber wifi. I have as yet gone to another location to see if wifi there will make connections. If so, I would say the issue is with the wifi in my home. However, I am interested in finding out if there are any settings in my Google Fiber router that may in fact might be causing this problem...any help is appreciated, thanks

Hello berniebildman,

Thanks for posting. Our apologies for the late reply. To isolate the issue, could you connect a computer directly to your Google Fiber jack and try to access NobelApp again? I'll wait for your update.

Regards,
Abi

Not sure how that would make a difference, because the NobelApp is a _PHONE_ app, and uses wifi. If I connect my computer to the google fiber jack (which would disconnect the google wifi point from the fiber jack), wifi within the house would be gone, and the phone could not use wifi...which would then push the NobelApp to connect via data connection using my phone's LTE coverage, not my in-house GF wifi.

Hey berniebildman,

My apologies for the late reply. You mentioned that you tried it with 2 smartphones. To confirm, are those devices both iOS or android? Let us know so we can isolate the issue.

Best,
Abi

Hey everyone,

It looks like we've slowed down here. We'll be closing up the thread in the next day unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.

Thanks,
