Placement of WiFi mesh router

Is it ok to place my modem next to my new mesh router?  Will being next to each other impact performance of either one?

Hello @AndyLA

That really depends on whether your modem is just a modem, or if it also includes a WiFi feature. If it is really just a modem, they should be ok close to each other (mine are about 18 inches apart). But, if it includes a WiFi feature, and you can't disable it, then I would try to keep them 3 feet apart (or more).

My modem was a modem only device so it was an easy task to replace my P0S router from my ISP with the the Google Nest pro. I also updated all my Ethernet connection cables to Cat 6.
