I am trying to factory reset the nest router but i can't get it working no what what i try. When i hold the reset button down for 10 seconds , the yellow light blinks during that time but then i never get to a sold yellow light. After the yellow blinking light stops , it is blank for a few seconds, I then another round of flashing yellow light about 3 times and then goes to a white light. This white light stays on for 5 seconds and then turns off for a couple of seconds, and then turns back on. Eventually, there is no light on the modem.
I never get to a sold yellow light as per the manual.
i have tried this process many times, with the network cable in / out , resetting it while i plug it in, leaving it for 24 hours to see if it helps but nothing seems to work.
i have many other of these routers so i know how they work. This one doesn't want to reset for some reason. Any help or advice on what my options are?

I just wanted to call out appalling service i received from the Google support team on this issue. They said the item is not under warranty (as its just over 2 years) and there is nothing they can do about it and do not bother to contact them anymore on this issue. When i specifically askedthem to send me some troubleshooting steps, they didn't come back with anything.
I don't think having an item fair shortly after 2 years and support not trying to anything about it such as even trying and troubleshoot it is reasonable. So if you run into any issues, your best hope is to be within the 2 year warranty period and hope for a replacement. If you go over this period support basically tell you tough luck.
If anyone has any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue, will be of great help. Thanks
