Hi,
Sorry, I don't even think I've chosen the right drop down choices from the labels.
I have just set up my new Google mesh network. The primary device is in the lounge and the only other device so far is in the kitchen.
I need to be able to connect to the wifi from a studio in the garden, which isn't that far from the kitchen point.
When looking at the wifi settings on my phone, the only device I can connect to is 'Lounge'.
My question is - will the mesh network as a whole always be known as 'Lounge'? Will it be connected to the point in the kitchen and still be called lounge, or should I be able to see 'Kitchen' as a wifi option? I didn't need to set a password for the kitchen point.
I know this may sound ridiculously silly, but I just can't get my head around it. Thanks for the help.

Hello @Mel_B
The whole mesh network will use a common name. So, if your device is near the kitchen, it should be able to connect to it using that name. You can give each access point a different name just to manage them, but the name WiFi clients see is the common network name. I hope this helps – feel free to ask more questions, though!

Thank you. It all got a bit confusing and slightly overwhelming, but got there in the end and everybody is happy!

Hi, Mel_B. I'm happy to see that MichaelP was able to help you out here! Network stuff can definitely get a little confusing, but it looks like you got it sorted out. Before I mark this as resolved, I wanted to see if there was anything else you might need. If so, just let me know.
Thanks.
