Single device will not connect to wifi

I have two Rapberry Pi Pico W's .  One of them connects to my wifi just fine, the other will not.  Both devices have identical model numbers, both are running identical firmware.  Running an identical Python script on both, but only one will connect to my home network.  My original thought was a bad wifi chip, but I turned on my phone's hotspot and the "bad" one connected to that just fine.  I also ran a network.scan() on the bad device, and it was able to find my SSID, so I'm certain that the wifi on the Pico is just fine.

Something in my Google WiFi router must be blocking it for some reason?  But I have no idea how to find out why.  After some searching, I've come to the unfortunate conclusion that there are no logs available to me.  The only thing I have thought of is that I've read that there could be a maximum of 100 devices connected to a hub (I have 2 hubs).  I currently have 44 devices online,  but I have 56 offline devices....which adds up to 100.  Do offline devices count towards the 100?  If so, I suspect that would be my problem.  So how I do I clean those devices up and kick them off my router so new devices can connect?

Hello, thank you for the reply.  I was able to figure it out.  But to help any one that searches for a similar issue.

The error I was getting on the device was "No Network". I did a scan of the network, and it saw it for sure, but wouldn't connect.  This is what left me frustrated.

Eventually, I noticed that strangely enough it saw my home network, but no others.  My phone could see about 15 networks.  This led me to check the RSSI of the bad device and it was showing -96 whereas an identical device that was connecting showed -48.  -96 is basically unusable, so it's no surprise that it couldn't connect.  Evidently, I've got a bad wifi radio/antenna on that device and am returning it for a working one.

What do the logs on the device that can't connect to Nest Wifi say? The client should also be able to give some insight into what happens.

I don't work for Google.

Hi Vtaylor,

I'm sorry to hear you're also having an issue. To clarify, what specific device can't connect to your network? Also, what device did you buy? Is it a Google Wifi, Nest Wifi or Nest Wifi Pro device? We'll wait for your update.

Cheers,
Abi
