Has anybody tried connecting a Google Wifi or Nest router to an andriod mobile, using USB tethering?
I'm wanting to take advantage of the local 5G signal for my home broadband without having to invest in a $$$ 5G mobile router or contract, instead just using a spare 5G android phone and a cheap USB to ethernet adaptor.

As long as you can get internet access in an ethernet cable, it should work. But I don't see how youd get ethernet out of an Android phone + USB tethering. What "USB to ethernet adapter" where you thinking about, do you have an example?

Thanks both, I need to do some testing to see if it works. Just need to pick up something like this first.
