Hello all!
Having some annoying issues with my Nest.
Either one of two things happens every time I try to set up my WiFi in my new apartment.
1. Setup gets stuck at “connect ethernet cable to modem” over and over again
2. If I’m able to get past that point, it allows me to name the network and create a password. Once I do that, it tries to set up then immediately fails with the error -
“The operation couldn't be completed.
(googlemac_iPhone_Home_Wifi_L
ocalAP|_Bluetooth_Bluetooth.Bluet
oothSetupAPlError error O.)”
I have called support and have someone coming tomorrow to check it out. However I still need WiFi to work and if that doesn’t work out I’m in a tough spot since it’s hard for me to leave home.
I’ve followed all the steps on the forum for troubleshooting setup this and have -
Restarted both modem/router
Tried different devices/google accounts to activate from
Tried different Ethernet cables that I know work
Powered my devices on/off, checked settings, etc
please help!
