I have Verizon LTE home internet. I don't know how to optimize the modem router settings to fully take advantage of my new Google wifi system. I've turned off the wifi but what other settings should I have?

Hi, Matthew Minnich 9754.

Thanks for reaching out with your question about using the proper settings for your ISP and Google WiFi setup. I'm happy to help you out with that.

The biggest thing is to ensure that you're just running a single network, which it appears you have already done by turning off the WiFi on your Verizon modem. You will definitely want the Google WiFi to handle all things wireless.

Aside from maintaining a single network, there isn't a lot that you need to do from the Verizon end. Just make sure your WiFi points are set up in a manner that they perform well in your mesh tests. The beauty of Google WiFi is that it's simple and it will handle the majority of network optimizations on your behalf.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thanks!
