Question 1: Does my Google WiFi point need to be on 2.4GHz to be able to add a device (socket) to google home? or is it just my phone that needs to be on 2.4GHz?
Question 2: If I do need to put my wifi point on 2.4GHz - how do I do that. I followed the instructions (google home -> settings - > wifi) but the wifi neither lets me change the name, nor lets me forget the network.

Hello @mpp1969
Some (but not all) smart plugs may need your phone to be on 2.4GHz during setup. The Google WiFi unit will be providing both 2.4GHz and 5GHz connectivity all the time.
