I have the old Google Wifi units. Today when I went to restart the network, I was told that Google Wifi is "read only" and I have to migrate to Google Home. There was a helpful "Migrate" button.
I clicked it and it just opened Google Home. I logged in with my email and there's nothing there. The only thing that may be funky is that my account is a Google Workspace account. I can see things saying that Google Workspace accounts break Google Home.
But I have an existing account - does this mean that Google just broke my existing setup and I need to start all over again if I want to add anything?

I am having the same issue and believe it's the same thing. My Google wifi was set up under my Workspace account. I do have a standard gmail account that I used when I set up my Google Home app and have my cameras, thermostat, and Nest Guard on that account - but no way to migrate my Google wifi. I guess I will just delete the wifi entirely, then add it as a new device. Will let you know if that works.

Okay, I did that and it worked. 1) Use Google Wifi app to restore the wifi to factory settings. Note that once you do this, your wifi will be down until you get the setup completed. It takes about five minutes to do the reset. 2) Use Google Home app to set up new Google Wifi. I used the same wifi name and password as I had used before so that all my devices wouldn't have to be reset. Start with the hub device and then do the other two. 3) Be patient, the whole thing took me about 30 minutes and it was a bit of a pain but at least now it's done.

Hi, KalTrain.
I just wanted to jump in real fast to see if you saw markewell's reply and to see if you still needed some help on this or if you were able to get it sorted out. If you are still needing some help, just let us know and we'll be happy to continue helping.
Thanks.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
Thanks
