I want to use 10.50.39.1 as the router IP but when I go to save the settings, thay are not accepeted. Is the google mesh router capable of working with different IP ranges?

Hello @seans

Just to add to what @olavrb mentioned, I have seen this happen when the outer network is already on the 10.x.x.x network with a matching prefix and netmask.

As long as the IP is RFC 1918 compliant, it should work as far as I know. I escalated the thread in hope for more information.

I don't work for Google.

As long as the subnets doesn't collide it should work. But we haven't got any official response on this yet AFAIK, even though it has been discussed several times in the past.

I think you are right about the WAN network. I need to change that before changing the LAN setup.
