Bring back Nest Secure!

When Google decided to kill these devices and service they left a huge gap. There are no security products in the market that i can find that play nice with Google Products.  There are no door/window sensors that integrate with my google devices.

I simply want what all Alexa/Ring users have .... I want my Google Hub/mini to let me know when a door/window sensors is triggered. "Front Door Open".... "Back Door Open".

I have one and it's been good to me and agree it's a big shame that it got discontinued.

That being said, if you can still find one second hand or otherwise they still work.

But for how long? With how abrupt Google discontinued services / devices and I would hate to be stuck with other product that has no app to support it.

Question, with your system when a door is opened does it announce on you Google speaker devices which door/sensor was triggered?

No, it doesn't do that.  It can just chime.

The only time it speaks out which door/window is open (from the guard not any other hubs/speakers) is when you press a button on the guard or try to arm it.

As for how long it'll work, who knows.  They do want to retire the nest app but that process has been extremely slow.  I imagine the resources needed to simply keep it functioning are negligible so I'm guessing it'll work as long as the nest app continues to work without major changes.

Is there any insight to what Google has on the horizon?  I see that Google & ADT now have a partnership. Can detail be shared if there will be a new product line-up / services?
