Can't add Yale lock to the nest app

I just purchase a  Nest X Yale Lock. I was able to add the Nest Connect tot my Nest App. However, when I select add product, and skip the scanning of the bar code, and choose add Yale lock, I get the following options to add: Nest Connect or Nest Guard. The Nest Connect is already added to my account. When I try to add it again I get a message saying that it is already added to my account.  I can't seem to get an option to add the lock itself. Also this nest app returns to the home screen about every 2 seconds and I have to start over. 

Any suggestions?

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues setting up your Nest x Yale Lock. Don’t worry, help’s here.

 

Please try the troubleshooting steps below:

 

  1. Check for any iOS updates and install them, if available.
  2. Uninstall the Nest app.
  3. Restart the iOS device.
  4. Reinstall the Nest app.
  5. Sign in with the Google account that’s associated with Nest Connect.
  6. Once you’re signed in with the right email address, check if you are in the right home structure where Nest Connect is added.
  7. Open the Nest app.
  8. At the top left, tap Menu.
  9. Tap the home you want to switch to.
  10. Connect the lock to the Nest app.
  11. If you get any error codes, check out this guide to troubleshoot connection errors during Nest × Yale Lock setup.
