A few questions: what is the color of the status on the Nest Connect? Are you getting any error messages on the Nest app?
Let’s try the troubleshooting steps below:
- Check for any iOS updates on your mobile device and install them if there are any.
- Uninstall the Nest app.
- Restart the phone or tablet.
- Re-install the Nest app.
- Remove Nest Connect from the Nest app.
- Plug the Nest Connect into a power outlet.
- Press and hold the bottom button until the LED light turns yellow and then blue. This action should reset Nest Connect to factory defaults.
- Make sure the phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as the selected network for the Nest device.
- Bluetooth should be enabled, but it should not be connected to any Bluetooth devices. Disconnect any Bluetooth devices paired to your phone, such as earbuds, smartwatches, etc.
- Cellular data should be turned off.
- If you have an iOS device, tap Settings > Privacy > Local Network and turn on local network access for the Nest app.
- Start adding the device back to the Nest app.
- Factory reset the Nest × Yale Lock.
- If needed, remove the lock from your account. On the Nest app home screen, select your lock, tap Settings, and then remove the lock.
- Connect your lock to the Nest app.
