Offline and display not working

Hey 710Crystal,

 

Thanks for visiting the Community. I’d be happy to help you with this.

 

Just to be sure we’re on the same page, is your Nest Guard the device that is offline and the display isn’t working? If yes, please try the troubleshooting steps below:

 

  1. Ensure that the Nest Guard is connected to a known-good power source using the USB cable and adapter included in the box. Using a third-party cable or adapter may cause the Nest Guard to report that it is disconnected from power. If the Nest Guard’s backup battery has been drained, it may take up to 10 minutes before the Guard powers on after being reconnected to power. It can take less than this, but 10 minutes is the maximum you should expect to wait.
  2. Try a different power outlet.
  3. Try a different adapter if available.
  4. Connect to a computer through a USB port to verify that Guard shows up as a drive. Also, try a different USB cable, if available.
