Hi Google,
6+months later and now the prices are plummeting on your Gen 2 security devices. Your ADT compatible battery doorbell can't function in under 32F and even higher temps. What were you thinking making a device compatible with 1/3rd the US at best just going off temperature range?
So in order to make sure you can use Googles new "battery" doorbell, I hope you live real close to constant 32F+ Temperatures or wait, have your plug in and removal tool ready to manually charge it INSIDE all day. Cameras still never show up half the time in your Google Home app, they don't even show up in the @ADT+ app. All black screens until you click on them, even then they only load 30% of the time.
ADT Account Management and ADT tech support that I've encountered doesn't even understand your Battery Doorbell and that it doesn't pull power directly from the Transformer. Do you know how many times I've had to explain to someone the difference between drawing solely from the battery and only getting wired power to the battery? These people sit and argue the device is "wired". I guess since you can connect a wire to it, that qualifies.
I assume Google will just lock my post so anyone can blatantly ignore the insurmountable amount of customers dealing with the same issue.
You have posts on this dating at least back to 2021 with Community Specialists promising "we're working on it", etc.
The fact I'm having to slowly dump all Google devices from my ecosystem is sickening.
Goodbye Google Nest/Security
