How do I get the $200 store Credit in lieu of the ADT system?

I must be blind,  but it does not appear to be easy to apply for the $200 store credit due to their switch to ADT system. Reading about the nightmares with ADT - I will take the $200 and buy another Smart Thermostat. But - how do I get the credit? Thanks

In the email you should have received, it has a link to contact Google Store support if you'd prefer that instead.

They refuse to issue the codes. I have literally tried over a dozen times over the last two months and still get BS excuses from chat reps. So this is not a helpful reply.

Hey, I did it 2 weeks ago to purchase the new pixel pro earbuds.

Firs go to the Google store. Pick out the item you wish to purchase, then put in the code from the email that you got about the $200.00 or ADT. When it fails to go through use the help option to chat with a person. Explain, explain, explain. Have you email from Google to refer to. Make sure you still have your Google store cart open and ready for checkout.

It actually took about 75 to 90 minutes for it to authorize, but I had my product the next day.

So also you can not use the 200.00 with any other promotion or discount. You will have to pay full price and if you don't use the full 200.00 you lose what is left. Just make sure you have plenty of time and patience and you can get the 200.00.

That doesn’t work. End up in a loop.

I did that about 8 times and the problem is when one clicks on the link, you are given a bot chat screen asking you to identify the purpose of your contact. There is no button presented that represents the sham of a $200 coupon offering so you keep selecting them all one at a time and you simply end up in an endless loop!! You should try it sometime. Any web designer or web maintenance programmer would have discovered this when they tried it the first time. I could also give you quit a story on my trek to get the "real" coupon code, but I'm growing older by the minute dealing with this abomination of a coupon program.

Stop wasting people's time by providing the same ineffective instructions. Your store support is worthless and have no clue how to resolve these requests. Or worse, they actively chose not to.

Juni, if you work for Google, you already know the process to redeem this $200 coupon is constructed fail. Clicking on the link in the email resulted in a broken link error message for the first day and a half. This program could have been extremely simple if you wanted it to be. As you can see be the countless postings on this board that you fielded this coupon and subsequent instructions so that the users would fail repeatedly and finally give up. Your $200 offering results in dead ends, wasted time and wasted energy. Something you should not be proud of!

If you've also checked your spam and junk folders, contact the Google Nest support team directly.

  1. Go to Contact Us - Google Nest Help
  2. Select an appropriate product or category, type a brief description of the issue, then click Next.
  3. Click Other, then click Next step.
  4. In the Resources section, click Next step.
  5. Choose to get a phone call, call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

If you are lied to and told a code was issued to me in April it was never valid (as already used) and have been trying to get a working one issued ever since. Should you not believe me then I ask that you to get the code use history to verify my claim. 

Based on my absolutely horrible experience getting this resolved I would not be surprised if that code was traded by your crooked reps and sold/used before I could do so. 

So, did you try following my steps in the previous post?? It worked for me.

I lost my email and have now been waiting over 90 min to get anyone to help....

Believe me, I know the frustration. You may have lost/deleted the email from your email inbox, but you should still have it in your “all mail” or “important mail” folder. Those folders have a copy of all your emails since you started using your email address. Check there to recover the Google code (which by the way is NOT the coupon code!). The code in the email is only a number that identifies you as being eligible for the real coupon code you would use at Google Store. The only way to get that code is to chat with a rep from the Google Store. Don’t bother with the link in the email either. It is a dead end to reach Google Store support. Search google for “google store chat” then select one of the results that look authentic (URL Google) and click on that. You may have to wait a while to get a chat session but they will ask you for the code in the email you received. That code will lead to your real coupon code which the rep will give you in your chat window. That is how I got my $200. Hope this helps you.

Juni, please, your reply is condescending. It would be best if you just fixed the absurd and broken process to redeem the $200 rather than placating frustrated people with responses like yours. Nothing personal really, just bad business by Google and a PR failure for sure.
