How to turn off Nest Secure base?

KenTak92

Hi, how do I turn off the base? The one with the buttons on it. Not disable the alarm - but actually turn it off.

I unplugged it but it’s running on battery power.  I’m guessing I will be getting alerts as the battery dies. I just want to turn it off. Is there a way to remove the batteries? Thanks in advance.

Hey there.

I am not entirely sure what you are asking. Would you mind clarifying your question?

Best regards,

Brad.

Sure, thanks for the reply.

How do I power it off?

I unplugged it from the wall but it was running on batteries. So I deleted it/removed product from my Home account; that seemed to work.

I just want to turn it off.

@KenTak92

I do not understand what you want to turn off? Which device? Is this a camera? Or a lock? A Speaker/Display?

Best regards,

Brad.

Nest Secure base. (Title of my email)

Can't attach an image but it's a white round base that has a raised keypad on it, and it's how you can turn on and off your system. Thanks.

I believe you are referring to the Nest Guard, and you can turn off the Nest Guard in the settings. Check out this article and near the middle-ish section it states what you have to do.

Best regards,

Brad.

Thanks so much. That article didn’t help but I removed the product from my Home, unplugged it, and the battery died down so it looks like it’s powered off.
