Nest Connect won't connect to Starlink wifi

I have purchased many Nest device over the years, and never had any issue. After installing a few outdoor Nest cameras (without connection issue) I installed a Nest x Yale Lock on the back door and when I went to run the connectivity test on the Nest Connect, it just keep pulsing blue. We use Starlink internet at our home, but I confirmed it is running an IPv6 and there are no connectivity issues. I have followed every protocol I can find and no luck, even after doing a hard reset on the Nest Connect. It is still pulsing blue as I type.

I need to connect other Nest devices (ie. Protect) and without the Nest Connect working I'm dead in the water. PLEASE HELP!

Hi chaddaws,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Connect is not pairing to your internet service. But no need to worry, help's here!

I understand that you already followed basic troubleshooting to pair you Nest devices again.

  1. How far is your Lock from the Connect?
  2. How far have you gotten in pairing your device?
  3. How far is the device from the router?
  4. Can you connect to the internet with other devices?
  5. Are there any other devices that experience issues with the Wi-Fi?
  6. Does the app show any error codes or messages?

Here are some advanced steps that you can check in the meantime (as no error was mentioned):

  1. Make sure Bluetooth is on. Turn Bluetooth off, then back on to refresh the connection.
  2. Put the mobile device on airplane mode, then turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  3. Restart the phone or tablet.
  4. Reset the joining device to default.
  5. Restart the modem and router.
  6. Try a different mobile device.
  7. Move all devices being used for pairing closer to the router.
  8. Check the network settings.

Network Name and Password: Double-check that you're entering the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password when trying to reconnect your Nest device. A typo can prevent a successful connection.

5 GHz Network: I understand that you already tried it, but some Nest devices might not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your router offers separate SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, try connecting your Nest devices to the 2.4 GHz network specifically.

Please check these good articles to Troubleshoot offline or disconnected Nest Connect, Nest × Yale Lock disconnected or offline and to  Set up Nest Connect in case it is needed.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,
