Nest Connect

I scanned the QR code on the back of the Yale lock and it told me I need to install my Nest connect, which has already been installed and then use for other items. When I scan the Nest connect, it does come up and says I am already connected in my settings on my account. How do I delete nest connect and reload it as we had Internet problems and had to reset everything

Hi Teryx2010,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest x Yale Lock and Nest Connect won't connect and are not working as expected. But no need to worry, help's here!

I understand that you want to delete or remove the Nest Connect, here are some troubleshooting steps that you can check:

Basic Steps:

  1. Open the Nest App: Locate and launch the Nest App on your phone or tablet.
  2. Select Nest Connect: On the home app screen, tap on the Settings icon (in the top right corner). Scroll down and find the Nest Connect (it is not listed on the home screen as a Device).
  3. Remove Device: Within the Nest Connect settings, look for the option to "Remove" or "Forget device" (the wording might vary slightly depending on your app version). Tap on this option to initiate the removal process.
  4. Confirm Removal: A confirmation prompt might appear asking you to confirm you want to remove the Nest Connect. Tap "Confirm" or "Remove" to proceed.

Important Notes:

  • Re-adding Other Devices: Be aware that after removing the Nest Connect, you might need to go through the process of resetting and re-adding the devices (Nest Connect and Nest x Yale Lock).
  • Alternative Control Method (Optional): If you're planning to re-add the Nest Connect later, consider leaving it powered on. This allows you to potentially re-add it to the app through Bluetooth pairing without needing physical access to the device itself (depending on your specific Nest Connect model and app version).

Please check these good articles to Set up Nest Connect and to know FAQs about Nest Connect in case it is needed.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Mario
