Nest Yale Door Handle

I have change batteries 3 times.  Last time I used the best one. After 3 weeks same issue. Only people who can lock or unlock are who have the Google Home App. The visitors that are added can not unlock the door. The other problem is that in the app you can not lock or unlock and shows unlock all the time. I have to take out batteries and wait a while put same batteries back on. The it works for about a week same issue. What is the problem.

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I can imagine this has been a very frustrating situation for you. I would love to look into this issue further for you and help find a solution. I just need to ask you some questions first.

  • Have you attempted to restart/factory reset your Nest x Yale lock? I would definitely start there. You can learn how here
  • I also have a great troubleshooting guide that should help you with locking and unlocking issues. You can find that link here
  • What other troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?

Yes 8 have done all that and still was the same. The only way that works again is by taking batteries and wait a few minutes. But I do not want to do this once a month all the time.  Thank you

I see your concern here for sure. If those options are not working for you, I would try to contact the Yale Lock site to see if they can provide you some support as well. Especially if even a reset or restart is not working for you. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
