Nest Yale lock will not connect to Wi-Fi (tried everything)

I have tried everything listed in the help forums from the 2.4ghz network, to using hot spots, to replacing batteries, removing, resetting the lock, turning off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular, moving the connect closer, resetting my network, and lastly standing on my head and I still cannot get the lock to connect to my Wi-Fi and show up on the app.

I’m about to trash the whole thing.

please help.

Hello Bessioc,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community and for sharing all the steps you’ve already taken to try and fix the issue with the Nest x Yale Lock.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re still having trouble with the device after all the troubleshooting that you tried.

A few questions: are you getting any error messages on the Nest app after it fails to connect the device? Were you able to create a master passcode after the factory reset of the Nest x Yale Lock? What is the color of the status light on the Nest Connect? Also, if you press the white indicator light button at the back of the lock, does it pulse blue?

Here’s a guide to help you troubleshoot connection errors during Nest × Yale Lock setup.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Lance

The reset worked!  Just make sure for anyone reading this to not let your finger off the reset button while putting the batteries back in.
thank you for the response!
