Nest guard suck on update and can't install New update

Hello,

My nest guard has been stuck on trying to update for the past two days. It says finishing up this might take a minute but never completes the update and then I push the button and it says installing new software just a moment.

 

I already factory reset it a couple of times and it still hasn't worked. I do not know what to do anymore after reading and searching how to get a complete software update on my nest guard.

I have only had it for less than a month.

 

Is there any other way I can try to get the software update installed?

Thanks for reaching out. I appreciate your efforts here. Let’s give it another shot.

 

Here are the steps you can follow to manually update your Nest Guard:

  1. Make sure Nest Secure is set to Off Nest Guard off. You can't update the software otherwise.
  2. Press and hold the 2 button.
  3. Keep pressing while Guard tells you its current version number. Don’t release the button until Guard says “Release to check for updates.”
    Important: If you don’t release the button when prompted, Guard resets to factory defaults and you have to remove it from your account and go through setup again.
  4. If an update is available, your Guard downloads and installs it.
