Old code still works on Yale, unable to find or remove it

I have a short term rental and had an old passcode that stopped working suddenly for one of my guests, the Yale lock kept giving the error “passcode doesn’t work right now” and only the master code was able to unlock it. I removed the lock from my account and factory reset it, I gave it a brand new code and created a guest profile using the original old code that I had used before factory resetting, but Yale wouldn’t let me use it saying “choose a different passcode, there was a problem with that passcode”, when I went to try the old passcode it unlocked the lock, but I can’t find where this code is anywhere, and it’s different than the master code, it’s like a phantom code and it’s not tied to any guest or my own account, I am frustrated and worried that this is a security glitch since I can’t remove or edit old passcode, even after factory resetting!

Hi Batmann,

Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm sorry that you can't remove the old passcode from your Nest or Yale Lock. This could be frustrating since you already tried a factory reset to change it through the Nest App and Nest x Yale Lock, and it still doesn't work. Help's here.

Please review the following article to check a few options for troubleshooting the issue about how to set up or change the passcode for Nest x Yale Lock.

Let me know if you need more assistance.

Regards,

Byron
