Hi @Rweiche1,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I’m sorry to hear that your Yale lock isn’t connecting to your Nest Connect and you’re receiving an error code during the setup process. I know that this is not the expected experience. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts by resetting both devices multiple times. No worries, I’m happy to assist you.

To get started, here are some questions for you:

  • What specific error code are you receiving in the Nest app?
  • Is this a Nest x Yale Lock, or a different Yale model?
  • How far apart are the Nest Connect and the Yale lock?
  • Are you using a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network?

I’ll be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Daniel

Hi

error code:T0 twenty six. Forty sixty (app won’t let me type the numbers)

nest Yale lock.  Approx 2 years old

approx 7’ from the connect to the lock

2.4 ghz Comcast Internet

this lock worked for 2 years.  Stopped working last Thursday.  Replaced batteries.  Did a hard reset on the lock, cleared the connect.  Started the connection process from scratch probably 3-4 times.  The connect will reconnect right away, but I get the error code when I try and connect the Yale lock to the connect.

Hi @Rweiche1,

Thanks for your response and for providing those specific details about the distance between your Nest Connect and your Nest x Yale Lock and for confirming that you’re using a 2.4 GHz network. I also see that your Nest x Yale Lock stopped working last Thursday after two years of service, and that you've already attempted to replace the batteries, perform a hard reset, and clear the Nest Connect and that you’re receiving the error code T026 (4060).

To gather more information, I have a few more questions:

  • What's the color of the LED status light on your Nest x Yale Lock?
  • Could you please describe the steps you followed to reset your Nest x Yale Lock?
  • Have you tried using a different mobile device to set up your Nest x Yale Lock?

In the meantime, you can try the following steps:

  • Uninstall the Nest app.
  • Restart the mobile device you’re using during the setup process.
  • Install the Nest app back.
  • Restart the Nest Connect by pressing the button for 10 seconds until the light pulses blue.
  • Remove the batteries from the Nest x Yale lock for 60 seconds.
  • Try to connect your Nest x Yale Lock again.

I also recommend you move your Wi-Fi router closer to the Nest Connect and Nest x Yale Lock during the setup process and verify that you’re entering the correct Wi-Fi password.

I’ll be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Daniel
