Double Tap to activate

Hello,

Every time I try to select something on the screen of my hub max, it says "double tap to activate." I do not want to have to do this every single time I use it. I was simply trying to delete grocery lists and I had to double tap to delete it, then Google would freeze in the middle of the response and go back to home after deleting. I tried to click on something and then it seemed to spaz out... I'm getting very tired of this device. It's not very user friendly and I have a much easier time using my phone instead. I want to connect my doorbell to the hub so I can actually hear the doorbell go off when someone arrives. I can't even seem to manage the device enough to do that... I need help before I completely rid myself of it

@Phoenixonhip, sorry to hear about this. Before we try some steps, I would like to ask a few things:

 

  • Is it your first time to experience this? If yes, when did you notice this?
  • Does it happen every time you launch the shopping list?
  • Does it also happen on other commands you try on?

Let's try first performing a complete reset to your Google Nest Hub Max and see if this would make any changes on its behavior.
