Google Commercials Playing in the middle of my Listening

About a month ago, I have had "Google" commercials interrupting my radio station listening. All of a sudden in the middle of hearing a song on the radio station, google commercials start playing, sometimes in a loud different language. Is this a new thing? Because it's horrible.

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. 

 

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. A few things: which Nest speaker? Have you tried other radio stations to isolate the issue? Do you have other Nest speakers? If so, is it happening to all of them?

 

You can try to do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest speaker for 30 seconds, then do the same thing on your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal.

I have done the reboot.  It happens on both my original mini and original google home speaker.   This happens with different radio stations.

I don't have anything to report.  The problem still exists.

Muddi, 2 stations that have done this is CKDO and "super 70s 181"

Thanks for the response, We want to gather a couple more details. Do you have a premium subscription on TuneIn? If so, you can fully reset your Google Home Mini and Google Home speakers to put them back to their default settings and set them up again as a new device then observe if this will make a difference. Check the steps below on how to do it.

 

HOME MINI

Here’s how to do the reset,  press and hold the factory reset button located below the power cord on the bottom of your Google Home Mini. Look for a circle etched into the base. After 5 seconds, your Google Home Mini will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more until you hear a sound confirming your Google Home Mini is resetting.

 

GOOGLE HOME

Here’s how to reset your Google Home, press and hold the microphone mute at the back of your Google Home for about 15 seconds. You'll hear your Google Assistant confirm that it's resetting your Google Home.

No.  No subscription to Tunein.   Ok i have reset both speakers.  I'll see how this goes.   I think i did this already.   I will need more than a couple days to monitor this with the holidays coming up.  

There just seems to be a few issues that had started about 2 months ago....even with other users.   There must have been an upgrade that messed up things.
