Google Home Mini fails to connect to wifi

My google home mini won't connect to either bands of wifi on my router. I've reset both the speaker and the router. The error on my phone simply says there was a connection problem during setup, check your wifi settings. I've manually entered the password for both bands, and have moved the home closer to and farther from the router. What's weird is if I look on the router IP page, it shows the mini is connecting successfully. I have a Calix C844G router.
