Google Home Mini won’t connect to account

I have a Google Home Mini which has been working fine for a while, but all of a sudden today it started telling us that we need to log in from the Google Home app. However, when I go into the Google Home app to re-connect the device, I get this error:

The operation couldn't be completed. (com.google.CastFramework.SetupLib .CastSetupError error 0.)

Screenshot included below. Anyone know why this might start happening all of a sudden?

Try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Swipe up from the bottom, hold, then let go. Swipe up on the Google Home app. On older devices with a home button, double-click the Home button, then swipe up on the Google Home app.
  3. On your iOS device’s home screen, tap Settings.
  4. Scroll down and tap Privacy (or Privacy & Security), then tap Local Network. You'll find a list of apps.
  5. Turn on the toggle for the Google Home app.
  6. Re-open the app and retry setup.
