Google Hub Display Associated with Deleted Structure

DavidLyons

Hello

Just moved and setup my Nest Mesh at the new home on a new network.  I reset my Hub Max and it found the internet but I get a message that it is associated with the last structure.  I deleted that structure in Home and Nest, but did not remove the Hub before I did so, and now I cannot access the old structure to remove the device.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks!

Hi DavidLyons,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I see you’re having trouble setting up your Nest Hub Max after you moved to a new home and new network, and that you receive a message that the device is linked to another home that was previously deleted. I appreciate all the troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken. I’m here to help.

Based on your previous information, please follow these recommendations:

Step 1: Attempt to set up the Nest Hub Max again.

  • Force close the Google Home app, but do not tap Exit setup.
  • Reopen the Google Home app, then scroll down to the bottom of the Home page.

Step 2: Check for the device listing.

  • Check if your Nest Hub Max is listed under “Other Cast Devices” or “Local Devices”.
  • If found, choose the device, assign it to a room, and link it to the account.

Step 3: If the device is not found.

  • Unplug the device.
  • Wait for at least 48 hours.
  • Factory reset the device again, then attempt to set up the device.

Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Byron
