I've had this Google Nest Hub (GNH) over 5 years.
(1): It used to understand all my commands and efficiently answer or take the requested actions. Lately it ignores requests. The colored dots appear at the top, then my voice translated to text appears at the top, matching correctly what I said standing right next to it. I thought Google was the leader in questions & answers? Then the screen returns to the standby mode. Meanwhile, the tiny, basic, no-display Amazon Echo Dot ("Dot") in ANOTHER ROOM heard and responded correctly. Examples: Set a timer for x minutes, or How many meters is 100 feet?
(2): I am the only user, I am a hands-on radio & radar operator. How can I get rid of that annoying feature that some setting requests require me to confirm who I am by saying something verbally instead of tapping screens? I don't need to wake my wife up. My children are grown & gone.
(3): There are absolutely NO IMPROVMENTS or UPDATES since I first received it. One Examples of these are: All the same useless features clutter the home screens while items I frequent aren't there; those limited ugly clock faces; What use is the proximity sensor, other than showing the home screen when I walk in the room instead of the clock - why can't I tell it to play my favorite radio station when I enter a room and stop streaming 5 minutes after I leave the room? Another: How can we play specific tunes or streams instead of the limited alarm sounds that you never add to?
(4): When streaming Sirius XM on GNH it will suddenly go silent for 1 to 5 minutes, & repeat this silence every 5 to 10 minutes. It will stream I-Tune & I-Heart just fine. Meanwhile, my DOT will stream Sirius XM consistently & continuously as well as I-Tune & I-Heart stations.
(5): My DOT will remember what it was previously streaming, hours or days or even weeks when returning from vacation, even after power outages. I ask it to resume & DOT does it. GNH forgets 5 minutes later!!! I tried asking it to "Resume," to "Continue," & "Stream the last stream again," but it ignores me.
(6): Why did you choose to quit supporting RING doorbell cameras? This GNH has a display screen, my Dot doesn't.

I didn't see that you tried to remedy the problems you're having like rebooting the Nest Hub via the Google Home app.
Have you retrained your Voice Match model in Assistant Settings?
