Google Nest will not connect to Google Photos

I’ve tried connecting to my Google photo albums through both the Home app and my display. I can see my albums, but when I select an album nothing happens (the photo frame still displays default photos). When I try to select the option for Family and Friends, it says I’m not signed into Google Photos (though I am). I’ve tried restarting my display and redownloaded the app, but nothing works!

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

 

We're sorry to hear about this experience. Could you try to mark some of your photos as "Favorites" and as soon as you're done with that, reboot both your Google Nest speaker and router simply by unplugging the devices from the power source for at least a few minutes. Once done, observe its behavior and let's see if there are any changes made to its behavior.

Thank you for the advice! Unfortunately it still says that I’m not signed into Google Photos when I select the option for Family and Friends.

Sadly no! The Google display photo frame will still not pick up my photo album. But I did find a workaround that seems to work — the photo frame is able to display my favorites. So instead of creating an album I just favorited the photos.

Hello I wasn’t given a case id. The guy I was speaking to couldn’t figure it out and told me to do the submit feedback option on my Google nest. I didn’t hear anything back so I did another submit feedback option a few days ago on my nest.
