Hi,
I bought a Google hub Device last April, which is less than a year - it's now Jan 2022 - and the device can't boot up. After it's powered up, it remains stuck at the G boot screen. I have tried resetting it to factory settings multiple times but it is still stuck at the same screen at boot up. Have also tried unplugging power plug, waiting for 10 secs before re-inserting and repeating the same process 10 times, but it still remains the same.
The device looks bricked.
What can be done as I believe there is 1 year warranty? I am based in Singapore.
Thanks

It seems you're not alone. The thread below on the same issue has over 1,000 replies; many say the solution is to try to get Google to replace the Hub. Near the top of the thread is a possible workaround (one you could try) posted by "JillG" but no indication whether it worked.

I contacted Made by Google on Facebook messenger. They basically asked me to repeat the whole process over again. It didn't work and finally admitted that they are aware of a lot of owners of the device experiencing the same problem and are working in a fix. They said unfortunately they can't replace as I bought from a non authorized online retailer.. what crap. Flooding the market with a defective product and then refusing to replace it. This is simply the worst experience ai encountered. To think that I invested in a whole set of Google home products - Google nest, couple of Google minis and google hub. I will recommend everyone to dump Google home and switch to Alexa.

I have the same issue. My device is 3 years old. Is that the max amount of time they last? Factory reset didn't work.
