For the last 12 months or so I have noticed that my Google devices are not understanding simple commands that I used to be able to give. Example: I used to be able to tell Google to turn off my lamps, as in plural, and it would understand and turn them off in the zone requested. Well it no longer recognizes plurals. Now, after experimenting profusely, I figured out if I use the singular term "lamp" that it will turn them all off. My most recent issue is Google is no longer understanding "Video Game Music" which I use to help my brain focus. It just starts playing random classical music which is not what I want. Up until a week ago I had absolutely no issues. Seems to me that my Google devices are getting steadily less able to understand simple commands. I currently have (2) Google Mini devices and (1) Google Nest Hub all having the same issues recognizing correct speech. Do I need to do some kind of update or something that I missed to have my devices work correctly? Are my devices potentially just "out of date" and needing replaced for some reason?

So I've noticed over the last 2 months similar issues with my devices as well. I have a nest mini x2 Chromecast HD Chromecast 4k Google nest hub 2nd Gen. Plus the nest wireless cameras x 3. One day out of the blue total failure understanding or executing my commands. I was unsure so after The typical reboot and reset it was confirmed for sure without question My devices could not even display my backyard camera instead it would bring up YouTube videos about a backyard and a camera! a big change in my devices ability to understand and differentiate my commands is so disappointing and discouraging I've over I don't know close to $2,000 worth of useless tech made by Google for gullible people like me who put my trust in Google and they let me down yet again. Simple things too as in broadcasting messages nope can't do it. Basic commands is all they're used for as in turning lights on and off but I must be specific and change the name so Google's retarded ass doesn't get it confused so I had to change their names to the following: lamp, light, ceiling fan, and big light! Because Google doesn't know what room it is in or whatever the reason is is unacceptable. If I live closer I'd drive all the way up to Google and put all this junk on their doorstep unfortunately I'm stuck with it and it's so trash nobody will buy it!
(I feel better after venting all this negative energy out, I'm sorry y'all are having similar problems to me and Google all of a sudden became me literate. With that being said I do feel some sense of camaraderie that I'm not alone with these inexcusable problems Google updated it's smart home equipment with)

Hey folks,
Thanks for sharing details about the issue here, and my apologies for the late response. I understand the feeling when your Google Home and Nest speakers are not working the way they should. I'd love to dig deeper into this.
Let's go ahead and do some sequential rebooting. Please unplug your router and speakers or displays from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back in one at a time, at intervals.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

Ok just the speakers and displays? What about my cameras? My doorbell? My Chromecast? All of it needs to be unplugged? And for a Google member who pays as much as I do in nest aware and Google 1 and YouTube premium subscriber too and the recent price increase across all your platforms really hurts that you show no brand loyalty to the people who are customers prior to the recent price increase. No love from evil Google. I should have gotten a Alexa but yal sent me a free nest mini to " try out" 3 years later and thousands of dollars in useless tech buyers remorse is only 1 of the emotion's im currently feeling.
Pass this up to the people in charge remind them that yes they actually do make significantly more money than the average US citizen and #Google is greedy sounds good to me.
So yes muddi l will go ahead and unplug all my greedy devices right now and tell you how it goes. If this is still open of course.
Sincerely a customer google doesn't care about,..

Hi Adam,
My apologies for the delays. You just need to reboot your speakers and router to refresh the connection between your devices.
Please update us with the result.
Cheers,
