Home Mini repeats my commands - how can I turn off my smart plugs without it repeating what it's don

Hey everyone,

I've just connected my new smart plugs to the lights in my room, and managed to get them linked up to my Google Home Mini! (I'm not very tech so this is a HUGE Win for me!) However, I want them all called different things (lamp, fairy lights etc) and when turning them on and and off, my Google repeats the instructions back to me. Pretty annoying. I really want it to just happen, not be announced.

My super-tech ex had managed this before in our home when we lived together... But I never asked how he has achieved it. Now I'm trying to figure it out on my own cos I really miss having that.

Can anyone help? The smart plugs I've got are 'Tuya Smart App' - bought off Amazon.

Thanks! 🙂

You can set the device to silent mode and suppress voice notifications. Go to the device in your google home app and click on settings. Access the notifications and digital well-being section you can suppress notifications or do not disturb. On night mode you can also make it silent during some hours of the day
